Cute Little Baby!

I have been scrapping for a lady friend of mine for several years now.  Her first grandchild was the beautiful redhead that was featured in many of my client scrapbook pages.  They now have a baby boy too! His 1st birthday is coming up and she asked that I make a few layouts for his album...and here are 2 of them.  I have 1 more to go.
The paper I used is the new Birthday line by Bo Bunny...show's you how versatile the paper line is.

This cute little 1 pager makes me giggle when I read the note written by "grammy"  it said, please do a 1 page of baby and his best friend Dillard- okay Dillard is the duck in the picture....so sweet!

Enjoy!

On a ROLL.....

A few more that I have created.  If you have followed my blog for awhile you will know that at the beginning of my boys school albums I always create their first page with their school picture.  Here I have used a conglomerate of scrapping supplies.  The paper line is the Fancy Pants school line.  My friend Andrea cut the viewmaster wheel with her silohette.  I want one so bad I can hardly stand it.  Some of the things she cuts are so awesome!  On my lists of must-haves!
I have use some October Afternoon embellies and the "First Grade" pack of embellishments, not sure what brand that is.
Another school layout for his book.  I usually type up the kids names and put on the second page, not sure what I am going to do this time.  I didn't really have enough papers to make the second page, so I just made a 1 pager.  Same papers and embellies as above.  It's always so hard to make a layout with the school pictures because they take up almost the whole page.
Below is a layout that I lifted from Andrea.  We go back and forth, she lifts from me and I lift from her.  We have very similar scrapping styles and we both have boys (that are almost the same ages too) so many of our ideas are the same. I think this will be Dax's last year to go to the firestation, so I guess it was worth cutting out all o those flames and those little yellow firehat/axes, I thought I was going to take my scissors and stab myself at one point, I was so tired of cutting! LOL just kidding!
Enjoy, I have a few from Drew's book I can post, but I guess I need to get off my can and clean my house during this horrible rainstorm that has left us all home for the last 2 days!

I love scrapping...

I have so many that I haven't posted.  I find it daunting to take the pictues of my layouts and have to crop and add them to this blog. So I try to pick out my favorite ones to add.   I'm not best picture taker and my iphone seems to be the easiest mode at doing this.  So with that being said, if you ever want me to bring albums to the store.  I don't have a problem with that just ask.  I don't like to leave them over night at the store.  Bring your cameras and take all the pictures you'd like.
The above layout is from the photo shoot we had done in Texas at the train station.  I have several more of these to do, but I am waiting for the right mood to come along to get them done.  I have bought the papers, but just haven't done them.  I used the Good Life paper line from Fancy Pants.  The paper couldn't hve matched our pictures better! It was meant to be.  The cute banners are from a punch out sheet, so cute!
I had posted this cute layout several months back, but I had only taken a sneak peek.  Several ladies saw the layout in person and decided to copy it...thank you so much for that it is such a compliment.  I made sand with Viva decor gloss gel.  You simply mix a little sand with a little gel and smear it on with a popsicle stick~ I added small seashells that we found on the beach.  Love the pictures of Dax and his little friend Trista, they are best buds!

This layout idea was taken from a make n take from Treasured Memories.  I like the her layout but wanted to make it my own.  I changed the papers and added another row of circle (blue ones) to make it a little more frilly.  I added paper studio elf stickers, sequin holly and flowers and bling.

I will try to add a few more soon.  Until then Happy Scrapping!

A Few New Layouts

With this layout I used the October Afternoon carnival line.  I am also using this line for my January Class believe it or not. It has nothing to do with New Years, but I have made it work.  To see the January calendar class go to the Class tab above.
These Christmas picture are from about 2 years ago.  I always do one Christmas layout for each child.  Usually they are in their Christmas PJ's and this is when we do our Christmas card photo shoot.  Which always starts with DRAMA (meaning kids are not cooperating and they end up either screaming at each other or crying) and ends with one great shot for our card! The sock monkeys are from Hobby Lobby, they have a great assortment of sock monkeys.  The papers are from Treasured Memories, but I don't remember the name of the line.  I embossed the snowflakes with Gold Wow Embossing powder.
This layout was a fun one to create.  I used the tree idea from a class I taught a few months back.  I love making trees like this.  I added buttons and crumpled up circles to give it dimension.  Yes you see the picture right- I did crack open a few sunflower seeds and took the see out and adhered half of the shell onto the layout.  I debated on doing this, not sure what will happen.  I believe the paper line was a nature line from October Afternoon and a camping line, not sure name...all papers are from Treasured Memories.

This Fall line was from Bo Bunny.  We used this paper in our Fall Kitz Girlz Kits.  I made a different layout with the papers and added several dimensional embellishments to it.  Love the picture of Drew holding the baby goat!

I will be posting a few more in a bit.  Until then I hope you enjoy my layouts.

A New Scrapbook Room

I have wanted a read scrapbook room for along time.  I had a make shift scraproom/office/playroom for many years.  I finally express my desire long enough- my hubby took the hint and got me built in  cabinets, desks and bookshelves for Christmas.
You can see this was right after they installed the cabinets.  The picture above is where my computer/printer and all of my materials for my Preschool Computer Classes will be.  I also plan to get a silohette one day that will be hooked up to my computer.  The little cubbies can be for mail or cute little pictures. Haven't decided, but we have 4 in my family and there are 4 slots...hmmm....
These cabinets are awesome, the bottom is large enough to house all of my 12x12 plastic bins, sewing machine etc...  The top cabinets are not that deep so I put my cuddle bug, cricut cartridges, spraymists etc... in these.
My book shelves are the bomb.com!  They are deep enough to hold my 12x12 albums.  I have hidden all of my non-matching albums in the bottom cabinets.  And all of my matching albums will be shown...yes...a little OCD issue here.
There is a quick shot of my room with my scrap table in.  There are lights under the cabinets that Jonathan installed last night.  He still has to cover the wires so that they are not seen.
Here you can see I've added a few more decorative things to my shelves.  I'm sure this will change.  I made room to keep my cute little cubby system from Pottery Barn.
Here you get a better shot of my desk and my scrap table.  The top antique wood but the scroll legs are wrought iron.  Love the table, I got it from Jefferson Street Market in downtown Lafayette.  I don't think they are in business anymore.  I must have watched this table for over a year, and one day I finally saved enough $ and splurged! So glad it fit in the room, I was a little nervous that it wouldn't as they were building the cabinets.  In the far corner you might be able to notice my music frogs.  I love frogs! I have had these for along time, couldn't pass them up when I saw them.  And so glad I was able to fit them on the desk...they use to go on top of my old desk, but with these cabinets there was not enough room at the top.

I hope you have enjoyed a visit of my room, and I hope it inspires you to create your scrappy little area in your home.

Until next time...Happy Scrapping,
Wendy
