Sweet Times

I have been saving these pictures for quite some time...looking for just the right paper. Well, it just dawned on me the other day that the Sassafrass paper was just the right colors and vintage, which seems to be HOT these days. I put my eyes to the test and handstitched the replica of the lollipop and bee lines. Hope you enjoy this layout, I have one more to make with Drew and his lollipop...can't wait to see what I crank out for that one.

Okay so you all want to know what's going on in Wendy's World: My eye surgery is done and I am recovering pretty good. I go for my week checkup on Wednesday. The only problem is that I am having difficulty seeing up close...which is not good for scrapbookers...so that will be my top question to ask the doctor. I am seeing really great far...so my tennis game will be back on shortly...yahoo!

I have classes and summer camps coming up soon. Mommy & Me camp is June 8th at 10am. I had one aunt and niece that had to cancel so I have 1 opening for this class. You can't sign up online at TM because I closed it, so if you are interested in taking the class either call me at 278-9585 or call TM at 216-9898. I have my June calendar classes on the 13th, 14th and 16th. I am pretty much booked solid for all 3 of these classes, call me if you want on the waiting list for these. It is really cute and its a collaboration of Janet's layout for her kids camp and a little extra's that I added. To see the layout, it will be posted on the TM website. Last but not least...Creative Escape, Kids Style is July 15th, 16th and 17th. I have about 3 more openings. They will fill up fast so once again if your daughter or neice or granddaughter is interested please let me know soon. The 3 projects are: flower chipboard book, shadowbox frame and get back to school with an embellished notebook, composition book and mini lunch pal. They are all so cute, Janet has some pictures posted so take a look.

Sorry so much info. in one little blog...but I had a lot to tell you all! Have a great day!

Eye Surgery Today!

Yes, that's right after almost 8 months of aggravation, I'm finally going under the knife! I am nervous but it's time to get on with life! Can't wait to see may scrapbook layouts better! Though, I will be sporting some nice reading glasses from now on. I'm sure this will be a bit of an adjustment. Have a great week and I'll get back to ya'll in a week or so.

IT'S A FROG FETISH!

Okay, so I'm sick...it's all my mom's fault...I swear! It goes back a really long time ago...like 34 yrs ago! I LOVE FROGS! ALL KINDS! I love to go hunt them down in my yard, and I don't really care if they pee on me...I'm not scared of warts. The other night I saw a HUGE one in the middle of the road, I was so thankful he stayed right where he was until I passed over him (or her). Then I looked back into my rear view and saw him in the lights of another car hopping to the other side of the road. Yeah! He made it! I know ya'll think I'm nuts but it wasn't some small frog...it was the ones like these in the pictures. So in these pictures we were gathering them back up. I have a screen porch so we let them hop around until I had to get them home safely. Yes, only in Louisiana can you rent frogs for a party! What a blast we had, and as you can see I think I had the most FUN! Don't gross out too much!

Ms. Tressie's Layouts

I have another client that I scrapbook for and I am loving all the pictures that she has given me. For this particular lady I am scrapbooking for her son, Jacob. So I have to create grungy boy layouts...this is right up my alley with all the boy layouts that I create. The scrapbooking industry is really tapping into the boy products, but it's still a little more challenging coming up with things to put on the pages. So of course I still use the trusty old stars and chipboard. Enjoy

Angela's Layouts

Here are a few layouts that I have been working on for Ms. Angela. I always enjoy creating layouts for her precious grandbaby! It allows me to work with flowers and the color PINK! On the layout that I used the Prima fabric flowers, I took them all apart to create this collage of flowers. Enjoy!

This Party was Hoppin'

Well, I am just a little bummed! I just realized that my memory stick lost a whole bunch of my pictures from the Frog Party. Janet, you jinxed me! These are the ones that I had posted on my facebook, so I did get some of them before loosing the others. We had so much fun at this party. Dax is still talking about the Frogs. We had frog races, a frog hunt and as you can see a really cute frog cake...ah la...Henri style. She is the bomb when in comes to cakes. Every year, I get so excited opening the box just to see what she has created. Thanks Henri, this was the cutest so far! Maybe I'm just partial to Frogs. Hope to have a few layouts done in the next couple of months...stay tuned!

More Froggie Fun!

Posts are FEW and FAR Between

May is such a busy month. Dax has already turned three and we're just fitting in his birthday party. So get prepared...I will be posting pictures of his Frog party. We are going to have live frogs and all...thank you Christy T. for rounding me up some of these delectable little creatures. As many of you know I love Frogs more than Sock Monkeys. It is a love that goes way back. I had a frog high chair (which we refinished for both of my boys to use) I had a frog party and I always had frog memorabilia dating back to early childhood...so it is a love that I am passing on to my boys. Stay tuned...and I'll get to scrap these pictures in about 10 yrs at the rate I'm going. Come August I am taking a little break from scrapping for others and I am going to catch up on some of my things.
