Fast & Furious!!!

Here are two really quick layouts that I recently finished...well almost finished. I still have journaling to complete on both layouts. The one cool technique done on the "Feeling Crabby" l/o is the word crabby is in ghost letters and I alcohol inked them. The one cool technique I used in the "Surf's Up" l/o is that I used puffy paint on the title and the waves. Looks cool in person.
In the 4th of July l/o I haven't finished the title...I'm missing the "of" in 4th of July! Eventually I'll figure out what font I want to use. This l/0 is cool because I used the new shutter page protector to be able to make more than one l/0 for the 4th. I have other l/o's that I have finished, but I'll save those for another day. Enjoy!!!

You Silly Bird & Congrats to Drew & Braydon

Okay, so I'm starting to think...(I know that is a bit scary) but yesterday I had this bird scare me to death. I went to feed the dogs Sunday morning and all of a sudden this bird goes running past me....and of course the scrapbooker that I am I had my camera close by so I ran to get it and I got a few shots of this silly little bird. Though it wasn't so little, not like our ordinary black birds, blue birds and finches that fly around our house. Well, he slowly walked across the street to the neighbors and I forgot about him. I was later walking through my living room and glanced out the door and he was back- now in front of my door. I grabbed my zoom lens and got a couple of shots. Not sure what kind of bird he is but I'm thinking a night heron. He was definetely odd and out of place. Strangely enough, today I drove down the road and came across what I thought was going to be a dead armidillo (sp??) and OMG it was a dead alligator. I thought Only in Louisiana. I later learned that it is quite often that you see that in Texas. So what I'm wondering is....I think we are taking over mother nature and the these animals are not liking it!

On another shorter note, Congrats to Braydon (4th place) and Drew (2nd place and 1st place putting contest) We might have some little pro's on our hands. They had a blast today. Keep it up guys...you did great!

Tomorrow's The Big Day

It's getting closer! I've been preparing this summer for the Kids Creative Camp and it's finally here. I drove my oldest son the Texas Sunday (he just refuses to hang out with girls while they scrapbook...he's still only 8...one day he'll look back and think "what was I thinking"!) the other will be at the sitter for the week and I'll be off to work! Here are 3 of the projects the girls will be making. I have a full house...15 to be exact! We should have a blast, and I'll get to see what I'm missing out on with all these girls. Enjoy!

The tin can is a really cute way of storing photos, recipes whatever you like. I made it with intentions of giving it to my neice "Ali" I have so many pictures of her throughout the years I thought it would be a nice way to present them to her. I made her a scrapbook several years ago and she enjoys looking at it everytime she visits at her dad's house, so I know she will enjoy this cute little gift!

Happy 4th of July

We started out the day with a bang...I don't usually look forward to early mornings but today I had a plan. You see our local 4th of July celebration on the bayou doesn't take place anymore...BUMMER! It was always such a great tradition to go each year and hear the symphony on the bayou and watch the boat parade and beautiful firework display. Well, now that it's gone we had to come up with a new tradition. Ta...Da...from now on every year we are going to go first thing in the morning and pick blueberries so we can come home and make scrumptious deserts to go along with our meals. The second thing we did today is that we went to the Visitor's Center (where I use to work) and fed the ducks, fish and turtles. The boys enjoyed seeing the different species of fish and turtles. Once we got home Drew and I baked some delicious blueberry muffins and cherry pie. What are some of your favorite 4th of July traditions? Hope to hear from some of you out there.

Creative Kids Camp

Kids get ready...we are going to have a blast the week of July 15-18th at Treasured Memories! I have been working to get all of these fabulous projects ready for you to make. This camp is full, but if you would like to get on a waiting list please call Janet and let her know. We will be making this awesome 12x12 black wooden clipboard, it is sooo fine. You will get to choose either these papers or any other papers in the store. We will make hidden pockets, bling it up, ink it, stamp it and whatever else we can think of...it will be great and guess what... clipboards have been around for along time to write on, but lets use them in a different way...lets use them to show off our wonderful memories. You can prop them on your dresser or hang them in your room, whatever your desire, but it will be a great way to show off your "Memories".
