Happy Birthday Dax!!!

Monkeyin' Around: We started the birthday off a little backwards...Dax wanted to open presents first so we let him. We had a banana toss game, barrel of monkey races and the sock monkey cake that I was telling you all about. We had a fun filled day and were all very exhausted after the big event. Dax is now two...I can't believe how time flies! I hope you enjoy a few picts. from our monk fun day.

I Know... What Has Happened to My Up-to-date Posting

Well, let me just say...I know everyone is wondering why it's taking me such a long time to post. I really have not been scrapbooking much lately so I have nothing to share with you all. I have been very busy (believe it or not) working out and trying to get into shape for the dreaded bathing suit days. I have also been very busy getting ready for a couple of things that will be taking place at TM. First, I have my "Simply Western" layout class on May 10th. If you have not signed up yet give the store a call. I have a couple of spots left. I also am getting ready for the Kids Creativity Camp. I am looking soooooo forward to this. I think it will be such a fun way for me to create girly girl stuff (which I never get to do). If you have a child 10 or older I would love to have them in my camp. Check out the TM website for more info. Also, Drew has 1st communion this weekend as well as Dax's 2nd birthday party. I am getting my house all decked out with sock monkeys!!!

Love,
W

I've Been Busy

This layout I used Daisy D's rub on tape, Fancy Pants transparencies, Cosmo Cricket paper, Bazzil Photo Corners and different types of flowers.

This layout is very me...simple and clean. I used Thicker letters, Hambley transparency, Bazzill chipboard arrows, the paper that I used I have no idea who makes it. I know...I have created 3 layouts for Drew loosing his first three teeth, but each one has had its own story. This one he lost his tooth on Halloween night eating his favorite candy- Tootie Rolls.
Another tooth layout...yes, the title is a little to be desired for...I lack in the title department. Anyway, I used Hambley overlays, Bisou paper and letters, and twill tape. I will be busy today journaling on these layouts.

I just love the pictures on this layout. Drew and I went around town and found a few great locations to take pictures...he was such a trooper. I'm sure this won't last much longer. I used the new Basic Grey papers and rub-ons.

All of my layouts turned out pretty simple, but I feel that it is important not to junk up a layout too much, because you want the pictures to tell the story as much as possible. I hope you enjoy and please remember I love comments.

Getting Ready for the Sock Monkey Party

I worked the Saturday night crop at TM last weekend and what fun I had. I really had a blast helping everyone. There were so many ladies cropping which made it a joy! I didn't get any layouts done but I did manage to finish this cute little banner for Dax's 2nd birthday party. These pictures aren't the best but I used the Daisy D's sock monkey paper, and Cricket Base Camp font for the letters. I used brads and ribbon to attach each triangle and I inked the edges with a black dew drop. Hope you like it as much as myself. I am so excited about this birthday theme. It makes me wish I had themed his room after sockmonkeys. I have found so much stuff on the internet!!! The invitations are almost done, I'll post them when I get a chance.
