Please Pray

To all my fellow scrapbookers...this is the time that I need to ask that you all pray for my brother. Last night he was in a terrible car accident and was flown to Hermann Memorial. He is in critical but stable condition. We did find out that he has broken his jaw (which they have already done surgery on this) he has broken ribs, a lacerated liver and head trauma. He is in a drug induced coma, which I don't know much about. All else looks okay, no spine or neck injury. I was leaving for a ski trip today, but not quite certain to what is going to happen. I will be without a computer for aleast a week...but I ask that you all pray for him and that God takes care of him and especially my mom and dad during this time.

May You Be LUCKY

I have never seen time pass so quickly until I started teaching the Calendar Classes at TM. It seems as though as soon as my classes end each month, its time to prepare for the next and before you know it too is over. Maybe it is that I am getting older and my children keep me very busy that I just don't see the time pass so quickly. I look forward to the time that I slow down just a bit, to stop and smell the roses. I don't think this will happen anytime soon. But for now I'll just enjoy the busy moments of my life and the pattering little footsteps that I hear running around my house.

Onto next months class. I have always loved St. Patrick's Day. My grandfathers parents were from Ireland, he was a Hennessy and so over the years I would hear my family talk about our ancestors and it always intrigued me. I also went to a Catholic school as a young child and our school was famous for putting on plays. Our priest at our school was Irish, so we always put of a skit for him on this day and we would wear green and sing songs...it was such a nice memory. We don't seem to do these things in school anymore, but each year I look for shirts and different things to take my boys pictures in. So get ready to make a fun layout in March, we will be making spinners, stacked flowers, sewing and lots of handcutting...please don't let this scare you away, the handcutting isn't that bad...I promise!

Here are a few Irish quotes that I wanted to share with you.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

For each petal on the shamrock
This brings a wish your way -
Good health, good luck, and happiness
For today and every day.

Auction Time

I always love being the room mom for Drew's class, but I have to say the years that it falls on auction...I sometimes dread this task. I'm always trying to think of new things to do. Anyways, you all know that I have been busy taking orders and making shadow box frames for people and I thought what a great idea for their project. The other year we had professional photographer take their picture, but I thought we could save money in this area if we took our own pictures. I think they turned out okay...I really like the one of the girls on the swings.

We did get some silly pictures but I thought I'd spare the kids with all of the crossed eyes that they were shooting me! Enjoy!

Love to You All

I was busy last night making my last minute Valentine sussies for my family. As you can see I found these cute little mailboxes in the $1 bin at Target so I grabbed up three of them. I decided to decorate them with scrapbook papers and embellishments...okay so the boys probably won't like the flowers but it's the only thing that I had to match the papers. This is the one that I made for Jonathan. It has a gift card and candy inside.
Dax's mailbox is sporting some cute little Lighting McQueen cars inside along with stickers and candy, M&M's (his favorite).
Drew's mailbox also has a Car inside along with lots of candy and stickers.
I hope my family enjoys our 2nd annual Valentine's Dinner. This year I will be serving up heart shaped pancakes with piping hot syrup, bacon, grits, strawberry milk, and chocolate covered strawberries. We will be celebrating tonight...because I am teaching classes at TM all day tomorrow...but we will finish the day off with a Crawfish Boil! YUMMY! Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Blue Thunder

alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300271379830005954" />

We had a day full of action packed fun. The pack had so much fun racing there new pushmobile...named Blue Thunder. They all did so good. We only had a few collisions, nothing to go to the emergency room for. Though Drew almost took out a spectator, and they actually got back in the race and won! Braelon and Gavin took 6th place overall...great job guys. Oh, and check out the picture of Dax...the ring pop was the only thing that interested him. Just kidding he totally enjoyed seeing all the boys in their cars...he even had his favorite picks...that won...think I may take him to the horse races.

Still Working on Snow Layouts

This was a quick layout that I did recently for Dax's album. It is nothing fancy...but this is really my style. Thank you so much Ba for taking these pictures or I would not have had any of Dax playing in the Snow. I just love the snowman that they made. It was so tiny and they must have put some sort of candy as his nose...and it bleed pink....and yes I used pink paper in Dax's layout, but come on guys....I had too...Ms. Laura was dressed in pink...which calls for pink paper. I do think I did it in a way that is not girly...what do you think?
